One down Six to Go

Andy doing what he does best Studying. He is enjoying our quiet freezing cold basement. Do you notice our designer desk? Yes that is an ironing board.

Well one semester is down only six to go! Andy finished is 1st semester at the end of April. He did very well he pulled A's in all his classes except one, which he pulled an A+. I think it is so funny to get an A+ in a master level class but the teacher that gave the grade is a little different so I'm not surprised. He has done so well I'm really proud of him. At the end of the Semester Andy had two weeks off so we took advantage of it and went on a road trip. We headed to DC with some friends, saw the sight of Nauvoo, Palmyra, and Kirtland all with our Ewell side of the Family. It a lot of fun. There will be more to come about our adventures.

Cleveland

Andy had sometime off over the Easter weekend so we decided to take advantage before we hit the really busy semesters and head for a mini vacation to Cleveland!

Tayla started the trip out by collecting worms that had come out on the sidewalk during the rain While we packed the car.We have a pass to the Erie Zoo that lets us into multiple other Zoo's for free. Cleveland is one of those Zoo's. So we decided to go see the Zoo with out paying a penny got to love that. It was a lot of fun it is bigger that then the Erie Zoo, it was a good change.
Tayla Lounging watching the fish

If you look closely behind Andy and the girls you will see a Koala. Bringing back memories from Andy's Mission.

"The Dazzling Ewell Girls"

Tayla and the fire house dog

Being Easter Weekend we were able to find an egg hunt for Tayla that wasn't to far from the hotel. It was put on by the Fire Department so there was a big fire house dog walking around. I think Tayla might have been more excited about the dog than the egg hunt. This egg hunt was great because instead candy in the eggs there was fun little toys. It was great!

Tayla checking out her loot!

We also got to see a Cleveland Indian's game. Andy and I love going to major league games. This is the 1st time we have taken the girls. I am not so sure they like them as much as we do. Amerie was the asleep until the 2nd inning where she decided to wake up, which ment Amerie and I got to see the rest of the game walking back and forth behind the seats. Tayla decided to sleep most of the game so Andy sat and held her and enjoyed the game. It was a promotional game so we all got Indian Scarfs. Here we are sporting them as a Family!

Tayla loved the giant hot dog

We had a little time to kill before the game so we headed down to the lake it sure was windy. We saw something that I would love to get. I don't know what it is called but it looked like fun.

Maybe someday well get one when
we are actually making money not just spending it.

Simple Joys

Our water heater has been on the fritz lately the last 2 to 3 weeks we haven't been able to get more then maybe 5 min of hot water a day when we manually started our water heater. So we have been taking 2 min cold showers, boiling water for the girls to take a bath, and to wash our dishes. Well yesterday our water heater got fixed!!!! I took a nice hot shower this morning. IT WAS WONDERFUL! It makes me be thankful for all the modern day convinces we have. And how I look up for the pioneer women!

Also we have had a problem with our basement drain everytime we try doing wash we would have a mini flood. The drain guy came and un pluged it. Yay! Now I get to stat to tackle the dirty clothes that have been over taking our room

And last but not least we have had a problem with our big black ants. They thought it would be fun to come bunk at our house. So we set out bait and I haven't seen an ant for a couple days! Oh how I love the simple joys of life!

"I'm Rescue Girl "

Tayla got her first hair cut on Feb 20th (I know it takes me a long time to post). Her hair was getting so long. We had never cut it. Her ends where so bad, you can't blame them it was the hair she came out with. She never lost her baby hair.
These are a few pics of her taken a month before, they were the only pictures I had with her hair down to show you how long her hair actually got. I can only dream that I could grow my hair out like this.
She was so excited to put on the cape. I left the room to go grab something and she came running out of the bathroom yelling I'm Rescue Girl! I'm going to rescue you. I don't know where she got it from but we laughed pretty hard.

After we got our "Rescue Girl" Back in the bathroom I started the cutting. She thought it was fun at first, but this was my 1st time cutting my little girls hair so I was going pretty slow worring that I not going to cut it even.
So by the time I got to the sides, I noticed this...

Tayla had fallen asleep sitting up! She was dead to the world. I'm amazed at the places Tayla can fall asleep, she gets that from her dad who could sleep through a tornado trust me the way Amerie cries some nights and he doesn't even budge makes me wonder. So hence we didn't get an after shot.

Our Little Artist

Tayla has been in a phase where she loves painting she wants to paint everyday. The other day we just got back from the park and she wanted to paint, so I got her all set up to paint. The next thing I notice is this...

She is dead asleep with the paint brush still in her hand.

We love our little artist!
